Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Austrian logistics company Cargo-Partner started to build a new logistics centre near Ljubljana Airport in August 2018, for which the additional employment of 130 workers will be required. The employment of the new workers will take place in the second quarter of 2019. Cargo-Partner has been present in Slovenia for over two decades and at the moment employs about 100 workers. The new facility will serve as a logistics hub for Central and South East Europe and will take advantage of the proximity of the two seaports in Koper/Capodistria and Trst/Trieste. This will be the second logistics centre near the airport following the Kuehne+Nagel’s recently completed construction of the logistics centre.
