Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Chinese company BYD has announced to recruit 100 employees for its new plant located at Beauvais (Oise). In recent months, the manufacturer has begun installing the necessary equipment. The official opening of the electric bus production site is scheduled for the last quarter of this year. At the start, BYD plans to create a hundred positions. The company has already started recruiting production workers, technicians, engineers, managers and clerical staff. The aim is to produce buses in one of the main EU market, as the law on energy transition and green growth requires from the main cities to equip themselves gradually, starting in 2020, with "clean buses", until they reach 100% of their fleet in 2025.
