Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The company Webhelp has opened a new location in Delfste Poort (Rotterdam), near the central train station, thereby creating 210 new jobs. In 2019, this number is expected to double. Webhelp Netherlands has locations in the cities of Enschede, Ede, Zoetermeer, Tilburg, Hilversum and Paramaribo. The company is responsible for desiging and addressing customer feedback, experiences and complaints.
Webhelp has about 3500 employees in the Netherlands and about 40,000 employees globally. The new location in Rotterdam was chose due to a good supply of potential employees, the diversity of the city and its people, and the high growth and dynamism of the area. It is not clear when exactly this new branch started, but it was formally openend on June 29th 2018 by the Mayor of Rotterdam.
