Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The IT consultancy Talan announced it will recruit 3,000 employees by 2020, of which 900 are to be added by December 2018. Taking into account the job rotation, Talan expects to increase its number of employees to 2,500 by December 2018. The consulting firm in digital transformation announced this recruitment plan at the same time as a fundraiser of €100 million. The company's goal is to accelerate its international deployment and to expand its workforce worldwide. About 550 hirings were already recorded in 2016 and 400 in 2013. Talan has a turnover of €185 million in 2017 and 2,000 employees worldwide.
