Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Germany-based company M + W Products has opened a production plant in the city of Krupka (CTPark Teplice industrial zone) where it will create 100 new jobs. The site, with more than 7,500 square meters of space, will produce filtration ventilation units used primarily in the semiconductor, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Recruitment of new employees is under way, focusing mainly on qualified technicians who will be encouraged to receive further professional development, either in the form of comprehensive training in the German headquarters or by focusing on highly specialized hi-tech industrial products. According to a spokesperson for the company, the location was chosen because of a good connection to Germany, the availability of workforce and the great potential for regional development.
