Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Accountancy group EY has announced plans to create 95 jobs at its offices in Belfast. The decision follows a period of strong market growth. The expansion in Belfast is part of larger plans to create 520 jobs across 7 offices in Northern Ireland and the Republic. Presently, EY employs 430 people in Belfast. The new jobs will be in accountancy, tax, cybersecurity and IT roles. Forty-five of the jobs will be graduate roles. It has not been reported when the jobs are expected to be filled.
