Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Iceland Foods, the UK-based supermarket chain specialising in frozen and chilled food, has announced that it will create 240 new jobs by the end of 2018, as it expands its depot in Deeside, North Wales. The new roles will be in frozen food distribution. Iceland’s Merchandising and Format Development Director said that the company is expanding its depot and turning it into a regional distribution centre that will serve Iceland shops in the area. Iceland Foods Ltd. has 905 shops and employs over 23,000 staff across the UK. It is one of the largest employers in North Wales.
In 2017, the frozen food retailer, Iceland Foods, has announced the creation of 100 jobs in Deeside, North Wales.
