Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Swedish bank Swedbank has commenced with a major recruitment. About 500 digital specialists will be recruited by 2019. This includes programmers, software engineers and app specialists. About 100 people will be recruited on a monthly basis. Digital banking manager Lotta Lovén says that Swedbank needs to position itself in terms of the digital transformation to pave way for the future. Lotta Lovén adds there is a competence shift at the bank due the need for a new type of digital competences. The investments are expected to fit the bank's cost ceiling, also because many retiring employees used to have high wages.
There is no information regarding in which part of the country the new positions will be opened.
