Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Swedish payment services company Klarna plans to recruit about 1,000 new employees within a year. This would raise the labour force by 50%. The recruitment will be across all areas of the business and markets with particular emphasis on engineering and product. There is no information regarding in which country or in which part of Sweden the new positions will be.
Klarna is one of Europe’s so-called tech unicorns - a start-up with a valuation of little less than €1 Million. It currently has about 2,000 employees in a total of 14 countries, of these 1,340 are in Sweden.
