Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The management of Norauto (Mobivia group), a vehicle repair and maintenance centre chain, has announced the recruitment of 1,300 employees by 2022. The announcement includes 800 positions on work-study contracts (for more than 9 months) and also 500 seasonal jobs. 300 of the 800 positions announced have already been filled. This means that 500 jobs will be created in 2022. Furthermore, in order to deal with the increasing popularity of hybrid and electric models, Norauto wants to strengthen its training policy within 35 'classes' spread throughout the country, dedicated to electrics and electronics. They will be based in Lille (Nord), Argenteuil (Val d'Oise), Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) and Nantes (Loire-Atlantique).
Norauto currently employs 5,600 in France.
