Description
Bosch Packaging Technology has announced it will cut 170 jobs at its German headquarter in Waiblingen by 2020 due to internal restructuring. According to Bosch, this will ensure the company’s future. Furthermore, the company will focus on producing packaging machinery for the pharma industry as opposed to machinery for the food sector, as the latter sees more competitive pressure and higher prices. Bosch plans to avoid operational terminations and aims to find socially acceptable measures for all affected personnel.
As of June 2018, Bosch Packaging Technology has 950 employees in Wablingen and 6,300 employees worldwide.
