Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Swedish Autoneum, manufacturers of automotive carpets and insulators, has opened its first Hungarian plant in Komárom. The company announced that it will create 150 jobs by the time the factory reaches full capacity. First the Hungarian plant will produce carpets for a German automobile factory and noise insulation for a British manufacturer.
Komárom is the 6th location of Autoneum in Eastern Europe, with three plants (Russia, Poland and the Czech Republic) and a development center in the Czech Republic.
Autoneum is listed on the Swiss Exchange (SIX) and it is present in 25 countries. Almost 12,000 worker are employed by the company. Its net sales exceeded 2.2 billion Swiss francs (€1.90 billion) in 2017.
