Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The German microelectronics producer Infineon Technologies AG has announced it will open a new development centre in Dresden which will create 100 new jobs this year. The centre will focus on new products and solutions for the automobile industry and artificial intelligence.
In the long-term, Infineon plans to increase the number of employees at the development centre to 250. A timetable for this has not yet been announced.
Currently, Infineon has 37,500 employees worldwide and 2,200 in Dresden.
