Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Retailer Argos has announced that it is to create 150 new jobs in its technology division. The company believes that the new staff will help it compete with other online retailers. The majority of the jobs will be based in London at the company's tech hub, though a few are expected to be placed in Milton Keynes. Various software jobs are being created at graduate and principal level. There is no information available as to when the new jobs are expected to be filled.
