Description
Linwoods bakery in Northern Ireland has announced plans to cut 90 jobs. The business operates across two sites in county Armagh and currently employs 295 staff, 250 full time and 45 casual. A spokesperson for the business confirmed that the job cuts were a result of falling demand for the company's products, with the demand for white bread in particular now much lower than it had been in the past. The company also produces and exports health foods, though that side of the business is unaffected by the latest announcement. There is no information as to when the job losses will take effect.
