Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German automotive company Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland, a subsidiary of Daimler, has announced that it will create about 500 jobs at its new factory in Jawor (WaĆbrzych Special Economic Zone, Poland). The factory, which will specialize in the production of engines for Mercedes-Benz, is expected to be operational by the end of 2019. The company has just started the recruitment process; currently, Mercedes-Benz is looking for office staff, HR specialists, supply specialists, engineers, accountants and brigade leaders. The company will provide special training for engineers in their units located in Germany.
Daimler is headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany; it owned or has shares in a number of car, bus, truck and motorcycle brands including Mercedes-Benz.
