Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Specialist recruitment company SThree has announced plans to open a new centre of excellence in Glasgow which will result in the creation of 314 new jobs. The business specialises in recruitment for the science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) industries and currently operates 40 offices in 16 countries. The new site in Glasgow is being backed by 2 million GBP (EUR 2.27 Million) of funding from the Scottish Government. A spokesperson for SThree confirmed that 200 jobs are expected to be created in 2018, with the remaining positions filled over a three year period.
