HírTV, a Hungarian television channel, has announced 30 to 40 job cuts, among which members of the management, program editors, and news readers in Budapest. According to the announcement of the company the dismissal has financial reasons.
HírTV is a Hungarian nationwide basic cable and satellite television news channel owned by the Nemzet Lap- és Könyvkiadó. The channel was launched in 2003. HírTV had about 280 employees before the dismissal.
