Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Laminoir des Landes, a new rolling mill set up by the Spanish group Añon (60% of the investment) and the Swiss group Sipro Stahl Holdingis (40%), has annonced the recruitment of 40 employees before the end of April and of further 100 in the future. The new plant is preparing to launch the first production tests and the production starts at the end of April. The plant will produce steel sheets. The production is intended for the Spanish, French and also Northern European markets (Scandinavia and Great Britain). The Laminoirs des Landes plans to produce 100,000 tons of sheet metal in 2018 and to reach 500,000 tons in the coming years.
