Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Remortgaging company Enact Conveyancing has announced plans to create 160 new jobs at its new site in Hull. The business, which is headquartered in Leeds, employs 530 people at its main site, while the Hull site is expected to account for around 30% of the company's headcount. Jobs on offer in Hull include conveyancing, legal assistants and team leader positions. Twenty nine people have already been recruited and will start work later in March 2018. The company has commented that it expects the remaining positions will be filled by the end of the year.
