Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Polish chemical company Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe Puławy (short name Grupa Azoty Puławy) has announced that it will create 130 new jobs at its new factory in Puławy. The unit will produce granulated fertilizers and is expected to be operational in the second half of 2018 at the latest. The source reports that the current investment of nearly PLN 700 million (EUR 167.45 million) in the project is one of the largest realized by the company in recent years.
Grupa Azoty Puławy was founded in 1966 as a state-owned company; the company was privatized in 2005. The company is specialized in the production of nitrogen fertilizers and is one of the world’s largest producers of melamine.
