Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Polish furniture producer Tanne, a subsidiary of Fabryki Mebli Forte, has announced that it will create 360 new jobs at its new wood-based board factory and warehouse in Suwałki. The source reports that the investment will bring in total 600 jobs in 2018.
In 2017, the company informed that 150 jobs would be created at the first stage of the investment (240 jobs have already been created). The announced programme is associated with the second stage planned for 2018. The factory is located in the Suwałki Special Economic Zone, Poland, and the company has already invested PLN 520mn (EUR 125 million) in the project.
