Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Szarvasi Vas- Fémipari, a Hungarian industrial and commercial enterprise with 420 employees has announced a plan to hire 80 new employees by 2019. There will be graduates among the new staff members. They have already hired 120 new employees. The company invested about EUR 6.5 million in renovating the plant, purchasing new machines, and introducing new technologies (automation and robotisation).
The company is Hungary's largest lamp and lighting manufacturer, it also manufactures coffee makers. They will be the exclusive manufacturer of one of the IKEA's lamp family.
