Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
After recruiting 150 people in 2017, including 120 in France, Soitec, leader in the design and production of innovative semiconductor materials for the electronics industry, has announced the recruitment of 200 employees in 2018 on its French site at Bernin, near Grenoble. At the same time, around 100 hirings are planned in Singapore and its other subsidiaries abroad. The main profiles mainly concern production (engineers as well as technicians and operators). Soitec employs 1,050 people worldwide and will increase its workforce of about 28% in 2018 trhough this recruitment campaing (+22 % in France).
