Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The construction group Cassous has announced the recruitment of 150 to 200 employees for 2018. The group currently has 1,100 employees including 900 in the metropolis of Bordeaux (700 in the city of Merignac). The core business of the group is made of activities in building and civil engineering that represent 75% of its turnover. The group later diversified into the environmental, real estate and other businesses.
The profiles sought are varied: engineers for support services, work coordination, and design; skilled workers; unskilled candidates who will be trained in the construction trades. A tutors' team has been formed internally to support new employees. About 1/3 of recruitments are made following an apprenticeship and 2/3 by external recruitments.
