European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The management of Photonis, specialist in night vision, notified its works council about 50 job cuts in the context of voluntary departures in the form of negotiated termination and the non-renewal of 20 temporary workers positions. The management also wants to implement an annualization of working time, the reason given for this plan is that the company needs to to refocus on its "high added-value core business".
The company previoulsy launched a social plan in 2007 involving 121 job cuts.
