Description
West Lothian Council has confirmed plans to reduce job numbers by between 134 and 150 jobs as part of plans to reduce costs over a five year period. The changes will result in the loss of approximately 790 positions and the creation of around 640 other roles. The announcement also confirmed that some previously stated cuts will be reversed. Many of the new jobs will be in the early learning, childcare and education sectors. The cuts are designed to bridge a funding gap of around GBP 65 million.
