Description
Aberdeen City Council has confirmed that it is to cut 370 jobs in the coming financial year in order to make a net saving of over GBP 10 million. The council has said that it hopes to keep to its policy of no compulsory redundancies, and will achieve the cuts partly by not filling 140 vacant posts. The remaining 230 jobs will be cut through voluntary severence and voluntary early retirement schemes; a budget of over GBP 11 million is ringfenced to support this.
