Description
The American car company Ford will increase its workforce by 130 new employees at its Spanish plant in Almussafes (Valencia) between May and June 2018 due to the opening of the assembly line of the new Maverick engine model. This announcement ends the workforce adjustment plan of 270 workers and the hypothetical transfer of manufacturing to China. The 100,000 engines assembled per year will be sent to Ontario (Canada). This expansion follows the new collective agreement approved in February that increases salaries and improves pre-retirement plans.
