European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Agromesa, the Lithuanian company engaged in processing and preserving of poultry meat, intends to dismiss 100 employees in Kaunas. According to the management, the company cannot continue its activities after a fire destroyed their poultry processing plant in March 2017. Agromesa claims that the insurance company refuses to pay all the benefits due to them; for this reason the company has to lay off 100 employees. Currently the company employs 158 employees.
