Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) plans to create 150 new jobs in Shannon, Co Clare with the opening of its new software engineering centre, which is set to open later in 2018.
The new positions are described as focusing on "advanced automated driving and electrification technologies."
The jobs measure was enabled by a 2016 €40m building infrastructure programme, which increased the availability of high spec commercial space in the area.
The 150 new jobs will complement JLR's 10,000 engineers who work across the UK.
