Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
In January 2018, the developer and producer of EV components Rimac Automobili, announced it will hire about 100 new employees at its site in Sveta Nedelja, Croatia. Positions are available for people with various mechanical engineer skills that will work on the development and enhancement of electric car batteries, and who will participate in implementing of different mobile applications.
As it is expected that the biggest vehicle producers will soon be producing more electric than conventional cars, Rimac's investment in and focus on electric batteries is expected to generate large profits.
In 2017, Rimac Automobili featured on the annual Deloitte list of the 50 fastest growing technological firms in the Central Europe.
