Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Areva's engineering division, Areva Mines, has announced the recruitment of 210 engineers and technicians by 2018, especially at its site of La Hague (Manche). Areva Mines currently has 1,452 employees and has recruited 120 employees in 2017. Areva Mines is looking for junior engineers (with a salary of around € 35,000 per year) as well as experienced engineers or technicians.
The French nuclear group Areva announced the recruitment for 220 positions in March 2017. Several reorganisation are recorded within the group Areva in the ERM database, with a restructuring involving 2,774 job cuts in 2015, two waves of recruitment in 2014 (200 positions) and 2013 (200 positions), 200 job reductions in 2011 and 1,000 job creations in 2011.
