Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Iskra zaščita, a manufacturer of electrical surge protection devices, plans to employ 100 additional workers by the end of summer 2018. Iskra Zaščita, owned by a Greek company Raycap with production facilities in Greece, Romania, Germany, China and USA, is building a new factory, a warehouse, a laboratory, and business premises in Komenda (Osrednjeslovenska region). The production in new location will start in April 2018, while new workers will be gradually employed by the summer 2018. One fifth of newly hired employees will be highly skilled workers. The investment amounts to €13 million. Iskra Zaščita now employs 250 workers.
