Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German logistics company Fiege has announced that it will create over 300 jobs at its new logistics centre in Zielona Góra. The facility, which is expected to be operational in January 2018, will carry out reverse operations for brands using e-commerce platforms. It will be located in the Lubuski Industrial and Technology Park, Poland. The investment aims to improve financial and organisational effectiveness of logistics services in e-commerce. Fiege was founded in 1873. Nowadays, Fiege operates in 15 countries and employs approximately 12,000 people worldwide.
