Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The online shopping group vente-privee.com has announced to recruit more than 200 workers at its sites in the Lyon region. The positions offered are permanent contracts in logistics roles at the four sites in the Lyon area, at Saint-Vulbas and at La Boisse. The company will recruit order pickers, technicians and managers.
Vente-privée has opened a new logistics site of 35,000 square meters in La Boisse (Ain), about 20 kilometres from Lyon. This centre, which becomes the fourth near Lyon, has an 'innovative production tool on the preparation of order in less than 24 hours', says the company. The creation of these positions 'will support the growth of the business in France and Europe' according to vente-privee.com. The group employs 5,000 people worldwide.
