Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The automotive supplier Plastic Omnium, which is in continuous and steady progress, aims to recruit nearly 120 people by the end of 2017, at its various sites. It will hire in particular 20 employees at the Fontaine site (Territoire de Belfort), 30 employees at Langres (Haute-Marne), 25 employees at Guichen (Ille-et-Vilaine) and 20 at Vernon (Eure). Previous announcement of recruitment were already recorded in the ERM Database, 400 employees in 2011 on national level, but also job reductions in 2008 (219 job cuts) and in 2010 (110 job cuts). The group employs 33,000 people worldwide.
