Insurance company Aviva has announced plans to create 150 new jobs at its site in Perth, bringing total employment at the site to 1,100. The roles which will be for customer advisers and claims handlers will focus on the home and travel insurance parts of the business. Both full time and part time roles will be offered. The news of the job creation was welcomed by the leader of the local council, especially because the company is one of the city's major employers. Details have yet to emerge as to when the new jobs will be filled.
