Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Car parts manufacturer Akrapovič has announced new jobs for 100 workers as a consequence of the enlargement of its production unit in Črnomelj (Jugovzhodna Slovenija region). Akrapovič company is a high tech fast growing Slovenian company engaged in the production of exhaust systems for cars and motorbikes. The company is located in Ivančna Gorica in Osrednje-slovenska region and altogether employs more than 1,050 employees. The production unit in Črnomelj employs 750 workers and staffing will increase with the addition of 100 new workers in 2018. The company is searching for suitable candidates in the region. Akrapovič company expects continuous growth of production in coming years and further investments in new production facilities and logistics centre are under consideration.
