Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
British telecom infrastructure and component supplier, Faist Mekatronic, will hire 120 new employees at its Oradea plant (Bihor County) by the end of 2017. At the Oradea plant, Faist Mekatronic produces light metal (primarily aluminium) castings for the telecom industry (Ericsson and the Nokia Siemens Network) and the automotive industry (Mahle, Borg Warner, Hella, Kahrein, Ina Schaeffler, Konsberg, Brose and Magna Group).
The company entered the Romanian market in 2005. In 2011, it invested €24 million in the development of the Oradea plant.
As of October 2017, a workforce of 1,467 are employed at Faist's plants in Oradea (Bihor County) and in Topoloveni (Arges County).
