Description

The Norwegian Green Holding Company is buying a factory in Filipstad, Sweden, and is establishing a subsidiary company called The Green Factory Sverige to produce prefabricated low-energy houses. The company intends to hire 200 employees mostly locally, be operational in January and to have three-shift production up and running within short. Production for the Scandinavian market has previously been located in Estonia, but green production is important for the company and the new location will allow shorter transport hauls, especially thanks to locally bought wood. The new business is expected to have broader positive effects for the local business environment.

The factory that the new company will be operating has hitherto been run by the Swedish company Fimek, which went bankrupt in summer 2017 and was bought by Partnertech. Fimek's operations will be moved to its other site in Filipstad in October 2017.
