On 27 September 2017, ZF Slovakia, the subsidiary of German automotive supplier ZF, has laid the cornerstone of its new production plant in Sahy. The company will create about 400 new jobs in the new plant where automotive absorbers will be produced. ZF will invest around €12million to the new plant which will spread on 10,000 m2. The production is planned to begin on 1 March 2018. ZF Slovakia employs about 2,500 employees in plants in Levice and Trnava.
