Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The French subsidiary of the Canadian group CGI (68,000 employees worldwide) has announced the recruitment of 250 employees for its new centre dedicated to supply chain digitalisation activities, in addition to the 1,800 recruitments announced for 2017 to strengthen its workforce in France. Additional recruitment has also already been recorded on the ERM database in July 2016 (100 positions), in February 2016 (170 positions), in June 2015 (200 positions) and in April 2015 (300 positions). CGI already employs 950 people in Lyon and the creation of the new site was in competition with locations in Germany and in the United States to receive a €5,5 million investment.
