Description
Discount book seller The Works has announced plans to open 60 new outlets across the UK over the coming 12 months. The new stores will result in the creation of 600 jobs. The announcement comes on the back of strong growth for the company, which currently has 398 stores across the UK. It hopes to have increased this to 650 stores by 2022. The new stores will be supported by a GBP 5.3 million (€5.9 million) investment, with a further GBP 1 million (€1.1 million) being allocated to upgrade existing stores.
