Description
Aircraft manufacturer Spirit Aerosystems has announced plans to create 100 new jobs at its site in Prestwick. The jobs follow the company's contract with Airbus to manufacture wing parts. The deal is being supported by a GBP 2 million (€2.2 million) investment by the Scottish Government. Of the new jobs, 80 will be for skilled positions and 20 for semi-skilled positions. There is no information on when the new jobs will be filled, though it is anticipated that delivery of the new wing spoilers will start from 2019.
