Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Customer service provider Teleperformance LT is to dismiss 111 employees from its subsidiary in Vilnius by 9 November 2017. According to the management, employees will be dismissed due to economic reasons. Currently the company employs 153 employees.
The Lithuanian Labour Exchange will develop a special prevention program for the dismissed employees to facilitate their integration in the labour market.
The branch in Vilnius provides customer services to the Baltic and Nordic countries, as well as Polish, German and Russian markets. The company provides customer acquisition, customer care, technical support, debt collection, social media, and other services.
