Description
The French video game publishing company Ubisoft is opening a new studio in Stockholm and intends to hire 100 new employees within the next two years. The new studio is to contribute to the development of the new Avatar game, based on the blockbuster film from 2009. It will collaborate on the project with Massive Entertainment (the other Ubisoft Swedish office), located in Malmö in southern Sweden. Massive Entertainment secured the Avatar project in March 2017. Ubisoft is additionally planning to expand the Massive Entertainment studio in Malmö by 200 new employees in the upcoming years. Ubisoft has been active in Sweden since 2008 when it bought Massive Entertainment.
