Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Belgian logistics service provider H.Essers announced the creation of up to 285 new jobs at the warehouse near Bucharest. The Bucharest warehouse will be expanded by 10,000 square metres after the company invested € 7 million into the construction of the new space, which will become available at the end of October 2017.
Currently, the company has 850 employees working in the logistics centres in Bucharest, Oradea (Bihor County), Sibiu (Sibiu County), Roman (Neamt County), Timisoara (Timis County) and an operational hub in Curtici (Arad County).
The Bucharest warehouse counts 180 members of staff.
H.Essers has centres in 15 countries across the world with a total employee base of 4,500.
