Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
North-East based call centre operator Echo-U has announced plans to expand and create 150 new jobs. The business, which was established in Newcastle in 2001, will be expanding into the South of England by opening a new site in Bournemouth. The company provides both inbound and outbound call centre facilities, as well as maintaining social media and website chat services for a range of clients including DPD and Sky. It has not been reported when the new jobs will be filled.Â
