Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Dr. Schneider, a German producer of plastic components for the automotive industry, has announced it will create 200 new jobs at its production facility in Radomierz (Kamienna Góra Special Economic Zone, Poland). The site will be expanded with a new production hall that will cover an area of 3,000 m2.
Dr. Schneider has been operating in Radomierz since 2006 and is one of the biggest employers in the region. As of July 2017, the company employs 1,421 people at the factory and R&D centre. The company produces car and motorcycles components, mostly made of plastic, but also metal, gum, leather, textiles, wood and glass.
